Republican congressman begin the call to unite.

"If Romney wins South Carolina, I think the game's over," said Rep. Tim Scott, R-S.C., speaking on NBC's Meet The Press. "This is the last stand for many candidates."

Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., on the same program, noted that Romney won the first two states of the Republican nomination race, in Iowa and New Hampshire; he is seeking a trifecta in South Carolina.

"No one has ever won all three," Graham said. If Romney does, he added, "I think it should be over."

"That would be quite a testament to his ability as a candidate and campaigner," Graham said, "and I hope the party would rally around him if he did in fact win South Carolina."

1. I love this--and remember what Cenk was saying the other day--for all the noise and angst and hoopla

over this trifecta, the total number of delegates is about 1 1/2 percent of the total needed.

and in his most difficult region.. the conservative south. The momentum effect would be huge. Hard to see how any of the other candidates stops that.

5. It is remarkable how just a few minor states can have such a huge impact on the final result..

The media over emphasizes the importance of the early states and the ignorant masses are affected by the news and tend to vote for the candidate they think will win.
