Two busloads of migrants were dropped off in front of VP residence tonight

Shouldn't this be a criminal act?

EDIT to add web story:

More migrants dropped outside vice president’s home in freezing weather on Christmas Eve

By Noah Gray
Updated 9:53 PM EST, Sat December 24, 2022

CNN —

Two busloads of migrants were dropped off in front of Vice President Kamala Harris’ residence in Washington, DC, on Christmas Eve in 18 degree weather, a law enforcement source told CNN. The source said there was no one from any organization or aid group on the ground to receive them in front of the Naval Observatory, where the vice president’s home is located.

“It looked like they had to call either family members or somebody else to come and pick them up, but they were standing out there, shivering with blankets for the last five to 10 minutes,” the law enforcement source said.

A separate administration official confirmed the arrival and said law enforcement has estimated that approximately 50 more migrants are inbound and expected late Christmas Eve, likely after 10 p.m. ET. The initial two busloads were taken to local shelters, according to the official.

It’s not clear who is responsible for sending the migrants to the Naval Observatory, though CNN reported earlier this year that Texas Gov. Greg Abbott had sent buses of migrants north, including to a location outside Harris’ home.

can Fuck Abbott right back, in short order. Cancel any and all federal funding for anything going to TEXAS.
Are there any Military bases in Texas, schedule de-activating them in a few months from now, "Slow down" all Tax refunds going to a Texas address, etc etc etc Sanctions on Texas, just like Russia. It will be the ONLY thing those Texas Republicans understand.

The irony is, that a multitude of Corporations and industries depend on the immigrants for cheap labor, they don't really want to stop them entering the U.S., they just use it as a sound bite to give their followers some reason to vote for the Republicans.
I want to see the ICE crew set up checkpoints coming out of every single gated community in Texas, Arizona, and Florida, check for green cards or proof of citizenship. Deny the rich all their landscapers, lawn keepers, house keepers, cleaning ladies, window washers, etc
Have raids at every meat and poultry packing business across America, check workers in every agricultural produce company in the U.S.
Enact laws or enforce existing ones that makes it illegal to employ an undocumented worker, and hand out Mandatory jail sentences to the owners or operators of companies or individuals that employ them in their homes and mini mansions.

What ever happened to Trump, when the FBI found blank Social Security Cards and a printing press at one of his resorts here in the U.S.

Having a hostile nation on our southern border would have been untenable. Instead of fighting an army of misguided, rebellious Americans, the US Army would take on ‘dirty furriners’, meaning there was no longer the bugaboo about killing American citizens. There would be continual bloodshed until they were forcibly reunited - and perhaps even after that.

Do public transit and gray hound bus drivers also have to be accountable as to who, what, when, etc? I’m thinking yes.

So, what types of buses are these? Are we talking private hire? Don’t they have to have any documentation and know where they are going? And if it’s a bus load of immigrants, then they should be asking questions. What and who is in charge at the destination. And if they leave people stranded, then they need to be held accountable. I thought we prosecuted people caught bringing in truckloads of immigrants across the boarder in windowless vans and then leave them for dead.

Abbott believes these are dangerous "animals" like his trump overlord. His wet dream is if one of these immigrants gets desperate from the cold and breaks into her house and attacks for shelter or food. Then they will have their dangerous criminal meme.

Otherwise, why wouldn't he send them to a safe house facility in her hometown instead. Same with the other homes he's sent them too. He's hoping for a violent break-in.

I agree with others up thread. find these bus drivers and prosecute. it wouldn't be long before they'd take a pass on driving the immigrants for risk of going to prison.

Abandoning people in sub-freezing weather, without making any provisions for providing shelter?

Yes, volunteers showed up to help, but Abbott did not communicate in advance that they would be needed. He simply abandoned the passengers to their fate. No one froze to death, but that was in no way due to any effort by Abbott to prevent it -- in fact, he seemed to be deliberately risking exactly that outcome.

Seriously, how long is the law going to sit by and let him continue to subject people to such cruelty?
