Russia's Lavrov: Either Ukraine fulfils Moscow's proposals or our army will decide

(Reuters) -Moscow's proposals for settlement in Ukraine are well known to Kyiv and either Ukraine fulfils them for their own good or the Russian army will decide the issue, TASS agency quoted Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov as saying.

"Our proposals for the demilitarization and denazification of the territories controlled by the regime, the elimination of threats to Russia's security emanating from there, including our new lands, are well known to the enemy," the state news agency quoted Lavrov as saying late on Monday.

"The point is simple: Fulfil them for your own good. Otherwise, the issue will be decided by the Russian army."

Moscow has been calling its invasion in Ukraine a "special military operation" to "demilitarise" and "denazify" its neighbour. Kyiv and its Western allies call it an imperial-style aggression to grab land.

Is that Russian military doctrine allows the use of tactical nuclear weapons in the case of an invasion/attack on Russian soil.

Then they ready the strategic "boomers" in case the West reacts in kind.

We're on a knifes edge, I'd recommend all caution.

9. I'd hope so... but I think we're closer now to "midnight" than in 1962.

It's a terrible predicament.

1) We CAN'T "NOT" help Ukraine.

But that has led to this:

Russia and China growing closer, militarily and politically.

Russia now actively arming Iran and supporting their nuclear weapons program.

Russia is now leaning on their nuclear deterrent more than ever as their conventional forces have performed poorly in Ukraine.

They recently had said that they wanted to "negotiate" an end to the war. Now, they are saying that either Kiev caves, or they will fight on. That's the extent of their sincere desires to end the war.

What I find interesting in this latest load of crap is:

"Our proposals for the demilitarization and denazification of the territories controlled by the regime, the elimination of threats to Russia's security emanating from there, including our new lands, are well known to the enemy," the state news agency quoted Lavrov as saying late on Monday."

It makes no sense, and it is just a mush up of the idea that Ukraine isn't really a sovereign nation, which it is. This sounds like wishful thinking. What is going through their heads? Surely they are not pretending that "their new lands" are not stolen?

Hell, the whole world knows what Russia intends to do: steal Ukrainian territory while inflicting as much internal damage to civilian structures as possible. All the made up excuses for their brutality doesn't fall on naive ears. Everyone knows what they are doing.

And, they have an inferior army. They had to run to at least two foreign countries to get arms shipments. I doubt their newly released Merchant of War or whatever he was called can fix that for them.

Bleah, Putin is evil.

They don’t even seem capable of deciding which brand of vodka to use to melt their brains with. The only thing they DO seem to grasp is that they have been sent to subjugate a fellow Slavic nation that definitely does NOT wish to be subjugated.

If there is one thing Russians have learned after nearly a millenium of monarchy and then almost a three-quarter century of socialism, it’s that their leaders have no problem with lying to them.
