I think one of the greatest stories of our time is being told in Ukraine.

Of course there is the heroism, the tragedy, the senselessness. 5 words made a statement "Russian warship, go fuck yourself" that will go down in the history books just like American Brig. Gen. Anthony C. McAuliffe's "Nuts" to the Germans in the Battle of the Bulge when they asked for the Americans surrender. I read one story earlier where Ukrainian civilians were spying on the Russians in occupied territories and even smuggling guns and explosives. Just, ordinary, Ukrainian, people. Many more stories will come out, movies will be made. But I want to think of the geopolitical repositioning that has and may happen. European countries are rallying around Ukraine, even famously neutral Switzerland. From sanctions to providing arms, Europe stepped up. Countries are joining NATO, or trying to. The thing that Putin was worried about is happening because of his actions. NATO is getting stronger, more organized and has proved that it will back free countries against one of the worlds "superpowers". China is taking notes, and they don't like the results. The geopolitical power of Russia, China, Iran and N Korea is diminished. Look at what Biden did to China today, that's quite a punch. I think free countries across the world are looking at Ukraine and saying, "hey, we have been looking at the bogyman for so long, we forgot that they are not a bogyman, and we are not weak."

Two Jewish guys from Odessa meet up, one is asking the other, so whats the situation? What are people saying? They are saying its a war. What kind of war? Russia is fighting NATO. Are you serious? Russia is fighting NATO? Yes Russia is fighting Nate. So How is it going? What do you mean how is it going, 70 thousand Russian soldiers are dead, missile stockpiles have almost been depleted, a lot of equipment is damaged and blown up, That's the situation. What about NATO? NATO hasnt even arrived yet.

Although I wouldn't use the term evil, misled by a sociopath or something like that but we agree on way more than enough to,,,,agree lol. More so though I would argue is a geopolitical shift against authoritarianism for lack of a better word. NATO and Europe against Russia and the US punching China in the nose with Biden's new trade policies. That is a huge shift. The world changed. Will Us Allies, NATO members and US supporting European countries also adopt such aggressive trade polices to China? I think some of them will. I think some of them have remembered that they are strong also. Whats that going to do to China?

by even our own US hegemonic empirical underpinnings
in history

not the people who live now who all want peace and equality
and a better way forward somehow

but without knowing what had happened and the geo strategy
that still goes on by the Central powers

you could say democracies versus authoritarian states
all day long,
and we have,
but what the hell is going on - ergo
all the nationalism,
the fake populism,
the hatred of refugees,
the reasons behind millions of people
having to resort to becoming refugees.
