You have four pictures there. Meanwhile there a hundred million or two white people who fuck it all up.

Malcolm did not suffer black people who would sell out their race.

But the OP and most DUers aren't black. Therein lies the difference. Seems to me it's one thing for black people to say things among themselves and another thing for white people to repeat it. YMMV.

But our distaste for grifters and sell outs cuts across progressive and racial lines and no one should think people of color condone these clowns.

Most Duers are not black. We used to have a very robust group here, it was called The African American Group. Most of them were friends of mine and were run off this board.

Seems to me it's one thing for black people to say things among themselves and another thing for white people to repeat it.

"Seems to me it's one thing for black people to say things among themselves"
Nope, wrong. They never asked to be segregated in a group. They were a very welcoming group to all that abides by the group's rules. Discussion is good and should not be hidden behind closed doors.

You should read some of the groups archived posts, so many good reads there. You will see a lot of white people that posted and were welcome there.

welcoming. Moderators gave posters in the group the benefit of the doubt, really great.

In fact, when I first joined DU there were a couple of AA members who were very nice to me when I posted in General Discussion and I remember that, didn't assume anything nefarious about a new member. I miss them. I saw what happened. BS.

All so welcoming.

I loved that group too, Betsuni and miss them all. A few are on twitter and other sites so we can keep in touch. I saw what happened as well and it was BS.

It's my discomfort with white people pointing the finger at African Americans. You are clearly comfortable doing so, which is your choice.

This post is in GD, not the African American group.

Dad was grossly misinformed, left me by the wayside,
but later on I got to know the old dude,
I felt sorry for him, tried to help him best I could

his old man was even worse, that's no apology

and so on and so on.

the old stories go on and on until there's the last man standing.

But it ain't like that I told him.
It ain't like that at all

That's kind of what happens in war

war is wrong on many dimensions

wars are usually started with misinformation, disinformation,
propaganda campaigns

within a nation, and geopolitically

between nations

and hell, there's probably a lot of nice little
towns where a person can be free
and live a good life

somewhere
at least
I hope

Makes me wonder how so many poor people in general can support a treasonous scumbag like Trump and coddle the rich.

Malcolm’s statement has a MUCH wider truth to it.
