Long Island GOP Rep. George Santos admits to "resume embellishment" but says "I will be good"

Long Island GOP Rep. George Santos ADMITS being serial liar who fibbed about his education and work experience, but tries to defend himself by insisting: 'I'm not a criminal'

Incoming New York Republican congressman George Santos has finally admitted that he lied about working at Goldman Sachs and Citigroup, as well as attending New York University and CUNY Baruch College, describing it as 'resume embellishment.'

-------------

---------

'I am not a criminal. Not here, not abroad, in any jurisdiction in the world have I ever committed any crimes,' Santos said in an interview with WABC radio.

'To get down to the nit and gritty, I'm not a fraud. I'm not a criminal who defrauded the entire country and made up this fictional character and ran for Congress. I've been around a long time. I mean, a lot of people know me. They know who I am. They've done business dealings with me,' he added.

'I'm not going to make excuses for this, but a lot of people overstate in their resumes, or twist a little bit. … I'm not saying I'm not guilty of that,' he said.

'I want to make sure that if I disappointed anyone by resume embellishment, I am sorry.'
---

'I am not a criminal,' Santos said. 'This [controversy] will not deter me from having good legislative success. I will be effective. I will be good.'

representing in the US House of Representatives.
Some will say they wanted a Republican in office, regardless of what type of person he is, etc.
Others will be repulsed or scandalized by his lies and "embellishment".

The Republican establishment needs to hear how they think and feel now that Santos' story and resume has changed so completely.

Republicans may fine that retaining him may be more damaging than having him resign and finding another candidate.
Keep up the publicity on this fraud-person.

The lies are so blatant that anyone could have easily busted Santos.
But they didn't.

It would not surprise me. But it doesn't matter, he will be seated no matter what. It is very depressing. The whole LI congressional map was red last I saw on tv.
