Unlike some more well-known folks, I do not claim to be "clairvoyant". This is just a wild guess:

if mendacious Republican mendicant George Santos takes his oath of office with a hand on the Bible, the "Good Book" will burst into flames.

Actually, a bolt of lightning isn't out of the question, I guess, so Democrats should give his ceremony a wide berth.

to get where he is. If he is actually sworn in, imagine who else the repukes have in the offing?!?!? I guess there are no penalties for lying anymore. Bonkers.

A bolt of lightening did NOT strike Trump dead when he held up a bible in front of a church for a photo op after having peaceful protesters violently dispersed from Lafayette Square.

Actually I've always been agnostic, but I was kinda disappointed that didn't happen.

Well, "church" is a loose term for it. At 9am every Sunday 10-15 "red hat ladies" get together for "Bible Study". What we actually do is figure out what nice thing we are going to do next, for whom. And we work out who is going to do what to make that happen.

At 10 I split to help bring nursing or assisted living folks to the chapel, then we sing a few songs and listen to the chaplain remind us life is hard but it helps to have a sense of humor and be kind to everyone. Then we sing a few more songs and pretty soon the half hour is up. I take the folks back home that need help and visit awhile.

So it isn't exactly strictly "church". I didn't go for a long time because quite honestly I have no patience for church people.

I was raised on the wrath of God but to be honest, I never bought into that load of hooey. I don't imagine much of what any God thinks made it past the first set of Cardinals when they put the Bible together.
