The current congressman, Thomas Suozzi, decided to run for NY Governor against Kathy Hochul, and lost in the primary. He would likely have been re-elected in the NY 3rd.

Yes, his campaign did opposition research and the MSM was alerted. It was largely ignored.
Given that district voted for the Repuke for Governor, it may not have made a difference.

but as others have pointed out, that district voted against both Hochul and Schumer. they have brain rot.

(25,381 posts)Cook gave it solid R after redistricting. It's now Nassau County, which did not even vote for Chuck Schumer.
I bet Souzzi didn't run because of this.
