Internet sleuths are looking for a woman who was caught making a racist slant-eye gesture on video during a confrontation over a parking spot in Dallas.
Tiktok user @ashreypark filmed the offensive moment, which appears to have taken place at a parking lot of the NorthPark Center shopping mall, and uploaded it late Wednesday. She says the incident occurred after the woman tried to steal a spot she had been waiting for.
She had come into a one-way lane, going the wrong direction, to steal a parking spot that I had clearly been waiting for, @ashreypark wrote in the videos caption. She got upset and made a racist gesture at me.
The woman had allegedly made the gesture once before @ashreypark pulled out her camera. In a brazen move, she pulls up alongside the TikTok users vehicle and does it again while being recorded.

This kind of crap has got to stop! What a sad excuse for a person to do such a thing.

He later showed how he found other details about Amy working at the Mattison Avenue Salon and Spa. He later confirmed if it was really Amy by texting the number which was given with all the details.
Adding screenshots of their conversation, Danesh showed how he texted her if she would tell her side of the story, and if she was willing to give an apology for her actions. To this, Pearson responded by saying that she has already canceled work today, as she has received hundreds of threats.

(21,573 posts)i hope yelp deletes these. the business does not deserve to suffer because of what this racist did. i feel differently when it is the managers/owners doing racist shit. in that case the business should suffer. but this just hurts the innocent other employees.
we'll see what the business does. they should fire the racist immediately. if not, then the reviews should stay because the business will be putting a "stamp of approval" on her behavior.

(14,061 posts)Shell lose her job, if she has one, will get thousands of views and hundreds of comments on the Internet, and this will always follow her around.
At least social media serves some purpose by keeping the concept of public shaming alive.

(1,900 posts)(if) it's true she's receiving threats, that's wrong too. The only way this kind
of stuff stops is cultural shift.

(15,220 posts)What she did was indeed wrong. Full stop.
But I always wonder what happened before the video started rolling. We have the victims account. But for the woman to be receiving threats is just too much. What she did was wrong but it is not illegal.

(61,622 posts)It's easy enough for her to lie and distract the narrative until she emerges as the victim. That's what con artists do, and based on her prior record, she looks like a con artist.

(58,785 posts)While I'm fine with this woman getting some social media backslapping, to me this is right up there with calling me "Democrat." I know it's supposed to be an insult, but it's just not.
And consider the source. Being angry, clueless losers has to be its own punishment.
