In a sign Rep.-elect George Santos (R-NY) standing is growing increasingly shaky, his campaign press secretary resigned, Politico reports.
The press secretary, Gabby Lipsky, had been expected to join the congressman-elects staff in D.C. before she stepped down.
Meanwhile, the Wall Street Journal reports Long Island Republicans are distancing themselves from Santos.

(25,554 posts)Dollars to doughnuts she quit for numerous reasons but the principal one Ill bet was the Jew-ish thing. Also who the hell would want to be associated with a prick like this?
We dont particularly like the kind of shit that he pulled, that slimy motherfucker. You know, we are a lot of things, and one of those things is extremely sensitive to people appropriating our heritage when they need it for some stupid reason. If you recall the character in the film Snatch who pretended he was Jewish, wore a yarmulke, and spoke Yiddish was the most vilified in the film for being a terrible phony.
As an aside, what a terrific picture, and if you liked it, make sure you see Bullet Train, also with Brad Pitt in a fantastic role.

(16,967 posts)I told my daughter I don't understand how we got to this disgraceful place. It is more that I am stunned by being in this backwards, degenerate situation. I do remember honor, good judgement, electing the cream of the crop, and maybe that is why the sudden fall into disrepute is so hard to understand.
My personal best hasn't changed, and I hope enough people have honor and good judgement to hamper--dare I hope for a full stop?--the ascension of the completely venal, brainless, back-of-the-class idiots destroying the ideals of the U.S.A.
