CNN has a giant list of people who died in 2022

It is long, comprehensive, and worldly. There’s many big names on the list. Some of the people lost this week would be enough to make the list stand out but there are many more.

or whatever, made me think he died then.

I wasn't really paying attention to the pope thing, I did wonder if his death would be announced immediately or if they would wait for a convenient time as is sometimes done.

2. Honestly, this list is one of the reasons I've come to loathe this time of year.

Understand the concept of reflection, but this end of year obsession with death always strikes me as a bit morbid.

But then I think most of the end of the year lists I run across are dull.

had passed.

5. The ones that always get me

are the ones I instantly recognize, but whose name I never knew. I must have seen John Aylward in a million different movies and tv shows, but I didn't know his name or even that he died. My apologies, Mr. Aylward, I will miss your work.

There are sure a lot of people who die in their 70's. I'm 73. That's a weird feeling.

I didn’t realize he died (of that was even his name). I just remember him from his cute lip synching videos. That’s a bummer.
