FDR in 1936 - A good reminder from history of how Government SHOULD work.

https://www.americanyawp.com/reader/23-the-great-depression/franklin-roosevelts-re-nomination-acceptance-speech-1936/

Governments can err, Presidents do make mistakes, but the immortal Dante tells us that divine justice weighs the sins of the cold-blooded and the sins of the warm-hearted in different scales.

Better the occasional faults of a Government that lives in a spirit of charity than the consistent omissions of a Government frozen in the ice of its own indifference.

There is a mysterious cycle in human events. To some generations much is given. Of other generations much is expected. This generation of Americans has a rendezvous with destiny.

Then I looked up the full speech.

When I was young I considered going into journalism, even interviewed a reporter to see what it was like.

But every time I thought of sticking to very minimal space to convey important truths, I felt like I would not be able to cut everything so intently.

But because of SO MUCH news and information we get daily, I wish I had cultivated that skill.

I do put my own spin on DEM talking points occasionally, just to bring up concise wording that HITS HARD.

Like Verbal Diarrhea to explain what tRUMP does when talking, because it's so foul it's way beyond word salad.

Like Columbus Condones Assassination of a Child for the Sinzae Reed story in Ohio.

Guess I'm good at concise headlines at least.

lol
