General Discussion
Related: Editorials & Other Articles, Issue Forums, Alliance Forums, Region ForumsI believe the day we were waiting for was yesterday...
with the release of Pendejo45's.tax returns.
That plus the Jan, 6th Committee's 845 page report is bringing down the (Q)'s in spectacular fashion, not seen in the U.S.
Come Jan 3rd. the House (Q)'s will do everything in their power to hide both the 1/6 Report and Pendejo45's taxes. If you have not downloaded either, the time to do so is now before we are unable to.
Everytime any (Q) makes noise about how bad the (D)'s are or how good the (Q)'s are, we throw these documents back in their face as often as possible.
Have a Happy New Year everyone.

(32,639 posts)... but maybe not from the official government sources. The Repukes don't like it when people learn the truth and they can't make a profit from it.
That's good advice for everyone to download documents now while we can get them for free.
Happy New Year my friend!

(16,399 posts)But I doubt (although I dont know for sure) all the interview transcripts and other evidence will be included. That's the stuff we might lose access to.

(86,622 posts)Glad it's all available in PDF format. I figure enough people are going to preserve them that I don't need to.

We go from a fear of what might happen in the mid-terms to a surfeit of news about their stupidity.
Now, how to take advantage of it. (I was going to write "capitalize" but I'm starting to hate that word.)

(28,795 posts)i've saved it to my desktop. I can't recall where I downloaded it from but my best guess is you can get it from the J6 Committee webpage. If you don't want to do that you can message me your email and i will send it to you.

(2,063 posts)Unless I'm reading it wrong, this "summary" is far too extensive to be of interest to any but the most devoted followers of current events. I was hoping for a 5-10 page version that average Americans might take the time to read.
Am I missing something amidst the reams of information contained in this report?
Genki Hikari
(1,766 posts)I can't do anything about the length of it.
Maybe some third party has done a summation like what you're looking for.

(2,063 posts)Maybe someone in the Department of Redundancy Department could put one together.
I can't bring myself to use a smiley emoji here, because this isn't really funny. It seems like a huge tactical blunder by the J6 Committee to not prepare a more digestible form of their report that would appeal to a wider audience than just us nerds and wonks and devotees of DU and the like.

(1,766 posts)Axios has a handy web page of all the transcripts in one place for everyone else to download them, too:
https://www.axios.com/2022/12/29/jan-6-committee-latest-transcript-interviews
There's apparently one of the transcripts that has a broken link. I have yet to get it to work.
Get 'em while they're hot!

Genki Hikari
(1,766 posts)Because the committee didn't do it that way.
We get what we get.
If some enterprising person wants to use a PDF editor or word processing program to combine it all, well, they're welcome to do it.
There are over 140 transcripts, and most of them are dozens of pages long. That would make a rather unwieldy document.

(17,917 posts)Taxes are out. That ship done sailed. Plus, the Dem controlled Senate takes up the mantle from the House on Jan 6. No more 50 / 50 split on Senate committees after Warnock's win. Dems are now in full control.

Then they will try to muddy the waters.
It will work on 35%-50% of the voters.

(17,917 posts)I mean, they really are smart people you know.
Genki Hikari
(1,766 posts)But that doesn't mean everyone will have continued access to the information.
That's why some of us are urging as many people as possible to download the report and the transcripts. Or to create alternate access links to them.
Do YOU trust the r thugs to keep that information up after January 2?
paleotn
(17,917 posts)have already made provisions for something like that? Which isn't really possible anyway. But still, they are kind of smart people me thinks.

(81,267 posts)as they start their (hopefully) brief leadership of the House of Reps.
And I hope they keep fighting among themselves! Anything we can do to help aggravate that means the less time they have to make mischief.
I hope they squabble for weeks - just on the issue of who gets to be Speaker! And may it go straight downhill from there.
Wonder how often ol Kevin is hitting the Maalox bottle these days
