https://thepointsguy.com/news/beers-reclaimed-water-jet-bridge-san-diego/A niche Brewery in San Diego partners with San Diego International Airport to use jet bridge condensation for the water they use to brew two specialty beers specifically for the airport. Since it appears they only use half the reclaimed water the airport makes, I wonder how much this technology can be used to alleviate some of our future drinking water issues due to drought.
I'd be interested how much this costs the brewery.

(2,101 posts)I am an expert at turning beer into water. It makes sense that smart people can reverse that process

Henceforth, that statement will always ring true.

(4,425 posts)So, basically it is distilled water. In order to make just about any kind of decent beer they need to add some level of minerals and salts back in before brewing.
I wonder what kind of beer they are making?

(32,083 posts)It has been recycled millions of times over, throughout the planet's existence. We've all drank water that has passed through other people, dinosaurs, sewers, etc., at one point or another, whether we realize it or not. Whatever the stuff is they're getting from the airport is likely being filtered and distilled, which leaves you with pure water. This is an interesting story, but it's not like they're directly using the "blue ice" from the airplanes.
