Abortion rights, common sense gun control.. Not political

Issues IMHO, but that's what I was told.

Was having what I thought was a sane discussion but red state native said it was all political and stormed off.

Sent them this. But didn't help because they said LOTS of people wanting to move to TX. From - California #1

A June Texas Politics Project Poll shows 59% of Texas residents think the state is on the wrong track while 31% believe the state is going in the right direction. The percentage of Texans thinking the state is on the wrong track is the highest percent ever since the Texas Political Project poll began in 2008 and is an eight percentage point increase from its April poll

59% think the state is on the wrong track, yet 55% of Texan voters gladly voted for the status quo. God forbid they should give a Democrat the chance to try and help.

Count me as someone who will never move to TX.

beyond themselves.

The poll was also about how people are moving in droves to TX. But it's because it's cheaper to live here - not quality of life or care for anything meaningful.

so big. To me means that at least 9% but more like at least 12+ % of Abbott voters think something's amiss.

They don't necessarily like Abbott, but they'll vote for him just to own the libs.

The same exact thing will happen in '24 when Cancun Cruz runs. They dislike him, but he's got that all important (r).

I said it a year ago. The Democratic Party would be wise to spend it's money elsewhere, in states where they at least have a fighting chance to win. Had the money spent on Beto gone elsewhere, perhaps the House could have been held. Losing by 11% shows that he had Zero chance, and it was wasted money.

said "Yes, we are coming for your AR-15s" in a nationally televised debate. While that's fine with me, it's political suicide in Texas.

Democrats are simply outnumbered statewide.

And for the majority of voters of TX to live through Uvalde, and the other mass shootings that have happened in recent years, and have a hard time accepting some gun limits, shows what pieces of shit they are.

These have been hot political issues since the late 60s and early 70s.
