(71,499 posts)use trucks...is a ridiculous vehicle...and their stock is on life support... if you are a liberal like me, you won't help racist entitled Musk by buying his shitty cars...worse quality in the industry.

Right now... GM and Ford are 5-7 years behind Tesla.

(15,673 posts)Take the technology and kill the company?

(18,257 posts)GM and Ford can't afford it.
VWAG is the only global automotive entity with that kind of budget.
But Tesla will continue, I'm 100% sure.
Having said that... I bet Musk is no longer CEO in 2023.

(7,316 posts)There's a lot of Patents that are worth a fortune.
Possible outcomes:
1. Musk holds out.
2. Musk get the Steve Jobs treatment and gets booted by the shareholders/board, someone else takes over.
3. It gets sold to another car company.
The twitter debacle is still way too early to call and for all the hub-bub how Musk royally screwed up, we don't know that for sure yet. But other tech companies from Silicon Valley down to Santa Monica are watching as they may also feel they are bloated with employee's and/or offering too many benefits.

(2,344 posts)Elon will get booted as CEO before Tesla gets acquired. Viewing Teslas stock price isnt everything as they are still shipping a lot of cars. Elon May hurt the brand but if he steps away theyll be fine. The big automakers have jumped on the EV train but theyre years behind.
