C-SPAN is/was controlling the House cameras today

I never knew this...

"We are getting these various camera angles today because C-SPAN is controlling the cameras. Once a Speaker is chosen, they clamp down and have their people control the cameras instead.

C-SPAN always asks to keep control after the first day and is always rejected."

A lot of the speeches we see have someone at the lectern and the presiding officer behind the big desk. While the speaker acts likes they are trying to sway the Congress on some issue, in reality there often is no one in the audience.
