1. I am, it's interesting.

He was a competent U.S. Attorney but his ego, and eventually his drinking brought him to the sorry mess he is now. And he was always a racist, authoritarian asshole. After 9/11 he was widely disliked, partly because he wanted another term even though he was term-limited; then he tried to run for president and went nowhere with that. I don't think he could stand becoming irrelevant, which is why he finally ended up attached to TFG.

his loss to Dinkins in the ‘80’s as being stolen. It wasn’t a time when one could make a display of it, or say it too loudly, but interesting that the seed was there.
