Any sign that's not 4' away from the curb is not only an illegal, but it's not a violation to deface it. One of my neighbors put glue or something on my Obama sign. I corrected it (best I could) and it's still out there to rub it in - as is my American flag. I've got some racists in the neighborhood. Fuck them.

It went up election eve and I saw it yesterday AM. I was in a hurry and figured it would be gone by dinner when I got home - cops usually remove all signs there pretty quickly. I got home and it was still there. I figured I would leave it, but at about 1:00 AM, high on happy, I added an amendment to make it more pleasing to my eye.

to put signs on public property. I removed one of the RobMe signs. I wrote on the top and bottom of the sign:

RAPISTS 4
Romney
Ryan
4 RAPISTS.

When I parked my car, I put it on my windshield.

I'll keep it as my favorite memorabilia from 2012!

it was a pretty nice day, weather wise. I had to run some errands. I drove through the residential neighborhoods, rolled down my windows, and every time I saw a Romney/Ryan/Rapist sign, I yelled "LOSER LOSER LOSER."

It felt good to get rid of that bottled-up tension. My county went for RobMe and Mandel....no wonder I have a difficult time here. I need to move to a place w/ legal marijuana. I want to be around mellow people.

If I defaced my neighbors RobMe sign, he would beat the hell out of me. He has promised to do so. The Police Captain and I are now good friends.

I don't know whose sign it is, even. I was hoping to see someone either remove it or try to remove my amendment so I could tell them to take it with them.

I don't want to fight, I just don't want it there. They can put it in their own yard.

I thought it was in your neighbor's yard.

Well, with your additions, I think the sign is very cool.

No one removes the signs in OH. Usually the homeowner. The public ones sometimes get picked up by the county party so they can reuse the metal stand.

real estate/open house signs within a couple hours. I do not know why they are letting this one.

If it's still there in AM, with amendment or not, I am tossing it in the garbage.

we have a highly-enforced ordinance about signs on public right-of-way, but the crews tend to leave political signs alone because the first line of defense is "free speech."

I wanted to put that red circle with a line through it on a sign about the "one man one woman" referendum in MN on my neighbor's sign, but my husband said it might not be such a good ides.
