Do you feel vindicated for 2004?

Last night before Ohio was called for President Obama I couldn't help to think back to my 20 year old self back in 2004. 2004 was the first presidential election I got to vote in and I sooo wanted John Kerry to win. I remembered how close Ohio was that night and praying that Kerry would somehow overtake Bush late into the night. Hanging on to hope when the pundits would say that some of the heavily Democratic precincts still hadn't reported yet. Listening to John Edwards say they were going to fight on then turning off the TV and going to bed. Only to wake up the next morning to turn on the TV and see Kerry's concession speech. Then the weeks after believing that the Ohio GOP and the Bush campaign succeeded in suppressing the black vote (which I still believe to this day).

Then last night it felt like that pain I felt in 2004 (even after winning Ohio in 08) went away. That good and fairness finally won out. Despite all the 2004 for style dirty tricks the Ohio SoS tried to do to keep Ohio from going blue again, we finally overpowered them and WE WON! The 20 year old/first time national election voter me finally feels vindicated.

Right now I'm more interested to see if Pelosi survives as the Democratic leader in the House.
