Affable, knows ALL the kids, affectionate, loves music, loves kids. And the kids run up to hug.
It makes me insanely angry to think of MAGAts and their congressional enablers trying to destroy such joy in education.

(34,111 posts)growing up with a brother I knew was "different" then learned about gay I have never given a single thought that this would be bad or wrong. I simply do not understand it, not at all.
Is this well known and do your kids know? If so that is wonderful and if not I am sure you will know when it is right for your kids and not dangerous for the teacher to tell them about this.
My brother died of AIDS 20 years ago last December. If things were different back then he might still be alive. We are making progress but I see a major push to go back to the wrong side of this issue. *actually we all see it and I see no stopping it anytime soon, it sickens me
This should mean nothing to your kids and everything now and in the future as they find a place for their thoughts of joy from their teacher.

I will not live to see that but that is the legacy I hope to leave with some of the work I have done. It takes love. My sons loved my brother and never even knew he was gay until he got sick and they were in the last year of HS and one in college.
Love always wins.
