(17,056 posts)and MSNBC here on DU. I would never say "don't watch, then" as some do. I believe that both networks frequently use both siderism and cover topics from a rightwing perspective. Also, the news readers you mentioned are some of my least favorite as well. What did they do this time?

(50,942 posts)The morning and early afternoon segments suck.
Which is why have other shows recorded so I can watch them during that time period. Like Stephen Colbert. I also just started recording Nicole Wallace so I can catch the 2nd hour if I choose. As I watch the local news live during that time.

(68,582 posts)just turned of the TV I especially dislike katy Tur...although Norah isn't much better. Daytime MSNBC is unwatchable during the day.

(16,963 posts)I tuned in after 5 p.m. and nicole wallace was doing ok until she replayed a mike pompeo interview. Of course, she cut him down, but she gave him airtime and he was pimping his book. I tuned back in to hear headlines again with ari melber, and he started airing comments by the r idiots about their wacko blather about the budget. So I shut it off and I'm listening to old radio shows.
I wish msnbc would keep the r idiots off their shows, whether by interviews (yea, right, like they have to guts to show their faces) or airing their blather.
Rant over.

(8,923 posts)Occasionally Ill watch his monologue. I do like Lawrence, but dont care for the same contributors over and over. They always contribute the same thing. Ive mostly dumped cable news anyway. Its incredibly boring, and I can check the news right here.
As for Pompeo, who would want to watch that? lol.

(16,963 posts)We don't need chapter and verse reinforcement, we'd rather get new views, different information. I don't like, trust or respect any r idiots, and I don't want to hear their viewpoints. If I wanted to hear them, I'd tune in to another news channel.

(46,166 posts)For instance, today I watched Harry Lipman's 1/2 hour podcast where they discussed the recent activity around the case building against Trump in Georgia.
In the old days I would watch legal experts like HL on TV for a few minutes at a time. Now I can watch or listen to their own broadcasts where topics are discussed at length.
I pretty much access them on YouTube. But podcasts are broadly available. It surpises me that I don't miss the TV talkers I watched for decades.
