They would use him if they could get bigger fish, like Trump, along with a network of corrupt FBI.

What will they show? That Russia helped Trump elected? How can that compare to what this guy did? Besides, they don't even want to prosecute Trump. They are hardly going to cut a deal.

This is unrealistic, wishful thinking.

Given what he is charged with, he may be the highest level US intelligence official with providing intelligence to Russia.

The Republican Senate Intelligence committee in the Trump period issued a report that said Russia attempted to influence the 2016 election. Unfortunately, the validity of the election is based on votes cast, not whether votes would have been different without Republican lies - with or without the help of Russia.

With Trump, the question is if he too was a Russian asset. I would guess that if he was, that would not have been shared by Russia, especially with someone in US intelligence.
