7. Maybe, but UFOs have always attracted eyeballs. The fact that at least one of them was a Chinese

made the story even more appealing to the public. I agree that much of the media should do more to publicize mass shootings and environmental issues. I subscribe to the Washington Post and it devotes far more column inches to those two topics than to balloons. I don't do cable news, so I can't speak to that.

the White House press corps questions today on the balloon hearing. I think if you picked some high school journalists at random, you'd have a better hearing. Move that whole crowd out behind the dumpster somewhere. What an embarrassment.

Our response has been explained. We did not shoot down the balloon right away because of the damage the crashed ballon would to ground assets. Indeed, the 7 mile long trail of debris ended up justifying our response.
The issue is settled. Where is the beating a dead horse emoji?
