They do that sort of shit here all the time. One of my friends has a niece whose daughter has been dolled up like that since she was a tiny baby. He shows me pictures and it's all I can do to hide my disgust.

IMO, kids are cute enough just as they are. No wigs or makeup or special pouts and poses.

The big surprise for the parents is when the beauty queen "got herself pregnant"* once she became a teenager and hasn't been taught anything except how to be sexy. One of my other acquaintances became a surprise grandpa a few years back after his daughter had been queen of every local beauty show. I'm guessing the baby is following in mom's footsteps unless someone wises up.

*Yes, every time I hear this, I inform the parent that it's biologically impossible for a girl to get herself pregnant. There is always a boy/man involved, at least at first, before the responsibility part kicks in. And these are the same idiots who won't believe in birth control or abortion.

Maybe the enthusiasm for government suppression of individual rights on this thread alone might encourage some to read a little about left wing authoritarianism. Not everyone on the left is committed to principles of individual rights and freedoms. Of course not everyone opposed to beauty pageants is authoritarian either, but the call for government to ban anything for ideological reasons is intrinsically authoritarian, whether imposed to suit a minority or majority.

Hard to believe that before 2016 disastrously put LW authoritarianism on the national stage most experts were so focused on the enormous, and horrendously proven, dangers from its more aggressive twin, RW authoritarianism, that they didn't bother to notice it.

The point of this post is to bring about awareness of Republican HYPOCRISY when it comes to adults in drag and performing to other adults versus little girls overly made up to look like Lolitas strutting around for trophies.

But it fits right in with that religion, whose main purpose is to further the patriarchy. Women/girls are lessers, fit only to be pretty, subservient ornaments and bear babies. And the two major Christian supernatural deity characters in the mythology, "God" and "Jesus" (sometimes said to be one and the same -- go figure), are depicted as humanlike males (of course). These girls are being trained early to fulfill their only purpose -- pleasing men.

Drag shows elevate "femaleness" and femininity into something to be appreciated and imitated by males. Can't have that! They must be stopped!
