Rep. Lauren Boebert, R-Colo., announced that her 17-year-old son will be making her a "36-year-old grandmother" in April.
Boebert, who called to cut funding to schools that teach students comprehensive sex education at last week's CPAC, announced at a Moms for America event that her son Tyler and his girlfriend are expecting a baby boy.
Boebert during the announcement took at dig at LGBTQ Americans, saying that she and her husband are raising their four boys "to be men before liberals teach them to be women."
Boebert then revealed that "come April, I will be a Gigi to a brand new grandson."
"Now, any of you who have young children who are giving life, there's some questions that pop up. There's some fear that arises," Boebert said in a video posted by Patriot Takes. ..........................(more)

(12,046 posts)Sex-ed may teach these kids how this happens and how to avoid it if they aren't ready... abortion would give them a choice... but even the non-evangelical part of the GOP wants more cheap uneducated workers to drive down labor costs.. so why not trash education as well?

(10,203 posts)Im one of those people who believe that pregnancy should be a choice and that its better for society when kids are raised by at least two mature adults and with a sane, healthy extended family.
I am bloody sick and tired of reading news headlines about some toddler who was neglected, abandoned or beaten to death by some kid and/or their partner who was unwilling or unready to assume the responsibility of parenthood.
This puts me at odds with the ideologues, nut-cases, grifters, and nutcases that run the Republican Party. And if this makes me sound a bit like a Richard Nixon that changed party affiliation and shifted slightly to the left, bite me!

(12,046 posts)Don't think they mostly care about sex. Some of them are the most prolific deviants (Not that hypocrisy would be alien to them in any way.) But I think its more about misogyny (taking control from women) and economics (growing the unskilled workforce), and racism (growing the WHITE population).

Such a good example of Family Values.
Boobert has no idea as to what is in store for her in the next 18 to 20 years. Like she can afford Nannies?

(28,658 posts)The baby is a gift from Gawd, I suppose. If this family pattern continues, she will be a great-grandmother by the time shes 53.
She is neither great nor grand.

If you do the math, Boebert had her 17 year-old at 19. Babies making babies is just fine, if you're white and Christian.

About to be a great great grandmother. Five generations in 70 years.

It would defund Planned Parenthood.
We need to protect the sanctity of life in this country.
To all those marching at the March For Life, lets rally behind this bill and get it done!
