The genius thought that if he announced his arrest before the DA, he would give his MAGA thugs time to get organized for another coup attempt. What he did was allow peace keepers everywhere to get organized. I don't think the GJ has returned an indictment yet and I think that a lot those basement couch warriors are going to stay home this time.

(25,643 posts)He has leaked a big story, which he will be credited with doing, and he will reap the reward of having Marshalled certain assets in his defense. Given that this is the least of the cases, he is temporarily at least ahead of the game in terms of public relations issues. However, like the election returns following election night, I cant help but say that the best is yet to come.

(13,903 posts)He is going to fund raise off it. He will make it a circus. The media are going to oblige.
Also I think his narcissism is triggered by this whole thing. I think he is getting off on the attention.
He is hoping people commit violence. He may see this as a second chance to overthrow the gov't and install himself.
The is Pig is a nutjob.

(3,505 posts)if he calls for protests and almost nobody comes out (to his rescue)?
People make a big deal about Jan 6th (and I understand their point). But if the best he can do is have a couple of thousand people try and take over the (poorly defended) Capital and install him as Emperor then IMHO it's his high water mark (stain). Not to belittle the offensive putsch TFG attempted (and all the people hurt, traumatized and public property damage), it on the whole was a pretty pathetic operation; what would you expect from the gaudy womanizing draft dodger anyway? There was no way it was going to work.
And I suspect there will be a lot of hand wringing, Faux news outrage and spotty (pathetic) MAGA protests but in the end not much to be worried about. Most people see TFG for what he is, a blow hard who has other people, usually inept dumb ass people, to do the heavy lifting for him (and face the consequences of his actions for him).
All one really has to do is point out how little TFG exposes himself to the sufferings of his actions and hope some of the half wits (and cheerers on) realize they are the ones doing all the work (and serving jail time) while the bloated TFG sits in his artificial thrown room and the minions at Faux news secretly laugh behind their backs and count the money they raise off of them.

After all, isn't the Pig the warrior of retribution?
