When I say something about the voters in this State or that

who support the fascist GOP and the agenda to destroy our democracy.
I thought it was obvious I am talking about those who vote for these assholes

And in some States that is a BIG majority.

But apparently asking what the hell is wrong with the voters who keep these assholes in power is an insult to those in States that vote against the GOP.

So I have now been told not to talk about voters in any State, no matter how red.

The jesusland states are just f’ing horrible right now, and are actively competing to out-horrible each other. If that offends some residents of those states who didn’t vote for the fascist theocrats, oh well.

Anyone not actively resisting them by voting against them (when eligible) is part of the problem.

And yes, it ought to be obvious that those who actually do so are implied to be exempted by exasperated expressions like "what's wrong with those people?" or "fuck those people!"

The depth of confused self-identity with (usually) birth State is just one of many problems among USa and a reason that the nation is divided.
People themselves, in their own identity are divided and divided about how much and what we can talk about when conversing about who we are and want to be, individually and corporately.

My 'Self' is not where I was born, live now, or wish to be. My 'self' is that which is constant throughout life's changes.

*BTW, "state" can refer to any changeable state of condition, such as state of ignorance, state of unrequited desires, state of rage, etc.

who give power to these Rethugs. When I say the voters of Florida that keep DeSantis in office, it is obvious I am talking about those who voted for him.

It is not an old argument, it is the crux of what is happening.

Why does Trump have a chance to be President again? The voters!

I won't stop talking about this because somebody here is offended because their State has a majority of GOP voters.

When I say the voters of this or that State who keep so and so in office, it is obvious I am talking about the voters who VOTED FOR THEM.

I refuse to couch everything I say for those who are looking for offense in everything.

I get the Democrat stuff though, because it is used as a pejorative by Repukes.

I live in rural upstate New York. Democrats are a small minority. There are far more republicans, and even a significant number of independent voters here. I am not offended when anyone speaks about how foolish upstate voters are. I'm not a victim when comments are made about the idiots and crooks that upstaters vote for, because I happen to live here. But I am a victim of the idiots and crooks that get elected to office, and thus I invest my energies into backing candidates that Democrats, independents, and even some republicans will vote for.
