After telling one man to put his drink down and leave the premises three times, the man, who was identified as Rep. Dean Davis, became argumentative, according to an arrest affidavit.
The report states that he showed officers a credential and said something along the lines of, You dont know how bad you messed up. You will find out tomorrow.
In the body camera footage released Friday, police officers are seen taking Davis into custody outside of the bar.
Are you guys really doing this? he can be heard on the video asking the officers.

(11,421 posts)As Sean Hannity put it:
If the police officer gives you a command, Please exit the car,
You should say: Yes, officer
Okay, officer.
Fellow Fox anchor Kimberly Guilfoyle echoed that, telling viewers listen, just comply!
That has been the standard conservative lecture to Americans across a spate of policing controversies that everyone, innocent or guilty, should just do what the police tell you
no matter how aggressive they are.

(1,668 posts)He knows it the LEOs know it. He needed to comply and get a drive home and go on with his life. Nothing would have or will happen to him.
Hannity and his ilk still say comply, because the local valet service probably wont even finger print him. These are like water is wet stories.

(9,748 posts)When a woman stopped him, he said "Do you know who I am?" and she said yes, get to the back of the line.
Then she said "Give a monkey a little hair and he thinks he is King Kong". He left the bank.

(3,955 posts)Some asshole (a Rethuglican no doubt) was demanding a first-class seat or something like that and kept saying to the agent at the counter "Do you know who I am?" like he was a big shot who should be revered. The agent got on the loudspeaker and announced to everyone that there was someone at the counter that did not know who they were, and could anyone help him? That shut him up.
