This is how unserious the US is about shootings

this is from an article 4 years old, so you know there are many more than stated here..

"By the NRA's count, governors since 2013 have enacted 382 "pro-gun" bills — many widely expanding access to firearms."

These were all inacted after Sandy Hook.

And celebrities, whoever can get to a mike, a tictoc, a tweet whatever said over and over. STOP KILLING. Just disapprove of killing in strong language. Have your guns just dont kill. No excuses. Kill and you go to jail. Period.

Yea I know that won't happen. Just seems like anyone with a presence in media whoever says stop killing. Better than nothing. Have all the guns you want just DON'T KILL.

have said that, including celebrities. Just saying it isn’t enough. They have been saying it since Columbine. Having all the guns you want and just say don’t kill doesn’t work.

And don't give me the "target practice" excuse. The only reason people go to the driving range is so they can get better on the golf course. The only reason people go to a shooting range is so they will be better at KILLING something.
If you aren't going to KILL something, you don't NEED a gun.

killing machines touts how "versatile" they are..."best all around for home defense, plinking and hunting"..."even big game". How do we combat these sites? For plinking and hunting -- when these guns are capable of shredding their targets? OMG.

Would post link but believe it would violate the DU rules.

Sociopathic sadists get off on seeing people suffer and die.

And we know the GOP is obsessed with children and sex.
So add murder into the mix and sadists love it.

They do not care about the loss of life. They care only about keeping people stirred up and angry at the government and Democrats so they can win elections. The fact that guns are the number one cause of death for children is just immaterial to them. The Republicans like the idiots from Tennessee and Kentucky who posed with murder weapons for their Christmas cards need to be put on display and ridiculed constantly murder enablers.

sick bastards all of them. And in regards to guns, it's not how we stop this it is whether we stop it, and there are people out there who don't want to stop the killings.

It's all about money, they don't care about our children or the life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness, they want us to live in fear and chaos.

I don't care about gerrymandering. If the voters in those districts had any common sense those politicians would not be there to have the opportunity to F up our state and country.

It's the NRA and the gun manufacturers who are being represented in Congress. The clear majority of US voters aren't being represented, although they pay taxes and vote for their Congress reps.

It's always the same. Politicians know who butters their bread. It's the big money. The voters who put them in office? Not so much.

Cleaning the House (and Senate) might require single issue voting: If you oppose gun reform, you are voted out of office. We will vote you out, and we'll elect Senators and Representatives who respond to the will of the people. That means gun reform as a MANDATORY GOAL.
