Country star Hank Williams Jr. really wanted the presidential election to go the other way.
Fuming about President Barack Obamas victory, he tweeted Thursday: America has committed Economic Suicide.
Williams hasnt hidden his disdain for the president. He got in trouble for comparing Obama to Hitler last year and released a song knocking POTUS over the summer.

(32,052 posts)Go to 3:30 of this video to see how much of a clown Williams is. What a disgrace to his dad's name. To the brain-based community Hank Williams Jr. is more remembered with his "OH YEAH YEAH" moment on Fox Boobs than any "music" he ever made.

the proof, though, is incontrovertible

(22,271 posts)The boy has NO talent. The "proof" is in his sorry ass simplistic, 3-chord songs that could be written by any 8 year old. OK, every now and then he throws in a iii or a vi to prove he's versatile.
Not to mention the fact that he shows up at his concerts stone cold drunk on his ass should tell you that even HE doesn't respect his "music," his band (who has to cover for his sorry ass) or his audience.

(17,111 posts)If he wasn't Hank's son, he'd still be wandering around the chitlin' circuit. He just half-screams shite out of tune into mics. His daddy was a great song writer and country singer, but Junior ain't all that.
BTW I would give cash money to be able to hear Patsy Cline in concert. That woman could flat out sing, and she gave as good as she got. Today, she would be a huge crossover.
A bunch of Grand Ole Opry members played Carnegie Hall. They took some requests, and they asked Alison Krauss to sing one of Patsy's songs. Krauss is another talent. I bet the angels listen to her sing. I loved the CD that she and Robert Plant released. Talk about an odd couple.

(22,271 posts)She's one of my stations on my Pandora and yes, I've heard several songs from the Alison Krause/Robert Plant CD. They are an odd couple but it sure worked, didn't it?
Patsty Cline! (Swoon!) Her technique remains unmatched to this day. That half-cry without sounding whiny or nasal. She's the only one that has ever been able to pull that off. "Walkin' After Midnight" remains one of my all-time favorite Country songs. My grandmother had several of her albums and I'd listen to them for hours -- over and over and over again (my grandmother was a very patient woman).

(17,111 posts)Your grandmother probably secretly enjoyed the Patsy playathon. I could listen to her all day and have on some long rides.

(32,088 posts)I'm not sure he'd even make it in the chitlin' circuit without that. I understand Hank III has some talent. Looks like it skips a generation.

(17,111 posts)He sings and looks more like his grandaddy. That's a good thing too. Doubt he'll be huge, but he's better than Junior without trying.

(212 posts)I agree 100%. He has been playing on his daddy's coat tails all of his life.
The man is rough around the edges, mean and ignorant.

(18,641 posts)He'll have to lay off his bass player and the resulting poor performances will sell fewer CDs. The loss in album sales will cause him to further idle band members until it's just him and an accoustic guitar with a pair of cymbals between his knees. See how that "trickle down government works"?
The good news is he can write a country music song about it, but I'd just as soon he didn't.

(19 posts)I think it's more of the same from these types of people. The comments from this person (The one who depends on hiding behind dark glasses and a hat) , shows us he is nervous or unstable or at the least, not confident in himself. I have only heard of him one other time and that was in a reference to his Father. He should be pitied and treated accordingly . In that, deprogramming should begin immediately for this individuale and prognoses should then resume. Of course treatment depends on insurance coverage and we all know (because an emergency room IS America' health care) after he is treated he can then rage at the ridicules cost of that visit and blame it on Obama.
He is an Idiot.
