Trump is trying a new stall tactic in the E. Jean Carroll trial

Trump thinks the public and potential jurors need a cooling off period between his recent indictment of paying off a porn star and his rape trial. What a whiny bitch. Here is the letter sent to the court from Tacopina.

Nope. We're ready and I'm sure Ms Carroll has waited long enough. On with it. Deuxcents Apr 2023 #1
Pretty sure Carroll would have preferred the trial occurred sooner. Raven123 Apr 2023 #2

Giving TFG a cooling off period will just reward TFG for bad conduct and encourage TFG to make future inflammatory statements

Nothing is going to change in anyone’s minds between now and four weeks from now. Hopefully the judge sees through this bullshit and tells them to get on with it. Carroll has rights too and she’s been waiting YEARS for this date.

Your argument is that as long as your client keeps piling up criminal acts he should be able to postpone court proceedings on his prior tortious conduct ad infinitum? Your client's bad publicity is all of his own making, and this court is not inclined to honor his delaying tactics. The trial date has been set for a long time, witnesses and experts have been scheduled for months, and if your client's alleged criminal conduct has made headlines recently, that's of no concern to this court. See you on April 25.
