(9,851 posts)I may, no not may, I would incriminate myself and my other court buddies.
Too bad, so sad.

(7,720 posts)Maybe we should be grateful to Clarence for raising the curtain. Not that a better view offers much of a surprise...

(54,141 posts)And gutting the voting right act? And of course beer boy's debts were quietly paid up during his confirmation hearing. And Kennedy resigned just so trump could appoint beer boy to take his seat, how much changed hands on that?

(3,985 posts)Essentially, five Justices were unhappy with the limited nature of the case before us, so they changed the case to give themselves an opportunity to change the law.
A quote from Justice Stevens dissent which is a wonderful read.
A scathing repute of the 5 Conservative Judges who purposely expanded the CU case scope in order to overturn established Congressional laws.
This dissent is a work of art!

(6,838 posts)when he gutted the voting rights act, he said it was no longer needed because racial discrimination in America is a thing of the past and thus the VRA is no longer needed.
YEAH......................RIGHT
Just how stupid do they think we are, anyway? They don't care because the last thirty years have proven they can be as anti-American and unconstitutional as they want and they will never suffer any consequences for their aggressive efforts to convert the USA into a totalitarian authoritarian DICTATORSHIP.
It started IN EARNEST with the Bush v. Gore 2000 decision that was so shitty they added a caveat that this ruling cannot be used as a legal precedent.
At least they are honorable enough to commit their treason's in plain sight because they just don't give a fuck about upholding the Constitution or the best intentions of our founding fathers.

(7,720 posts)I suggest you laugh instead of cry. But please also be pissed off. If a whole bunch of people don't get pissed off and do stuff they don't ordinarily do, this is not going to change.
