Trump is being handed insider info on how to 'relentlessly mess' with 'insecure' DeSantis

Donald Trump's war on Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) is being bolstered by former associates of the Florida lawmaker who have their own axes to grind and are providing tips for how to get under the skin of his possible rival for the 2024 GOP presidential nomination.

With CNN reporting that the Republican primary has already spiraled into a "food fight" and candidates and potential candidates already trading barbs and attacks, Rolling Stone is reporting that the former president is getting outside help undercutting DeSantis before he even announces his run.

According to their report, former aides and allies of DeSantis have run to the Trump camp to spill the beans on what makes the Florida governor tick and also how to "relentlessly mess" with him.

I LOVE this fight!! Pass me the popcorn!!

Indeed, Trump has already demonstrated that virtually nothing is off limits in his campaign against DeSantis, who hasn’t even officially declared his 2024 candidacy yet. (The governor is clearly running a “shadow campaign” at this time, however.) Last month, the ex-president publicly suggested DeSantis might be gay. The month before that, Trump implied the Florida governor is a pedophile. That the allegations are baseless is not much of a concern to the 2024 Republican frontrunner.

“The only people who like Ron DeSantis are the people who have never met him,” Taylor Budowich, the head of the pro-Trump super PAC MAGA Inc. and Trump’s former spokesman, harshly commented to NBC News last week. Budowich, too, is a DeSantis alum, having worked with the DeSantis transition in Florida.

Stories of DeSantis colleagues and staffers describing the Florida governor as either cold or hostile are legion. Republican political operatives have slammed him as a man who is “missing the sociability gene” and “never says thank you,” even to major donors.

In a blistering 2021 piece, Politico reported on the existence of a so-called “support group” of “scarred” former DeSantis aides who meet to exchange stories on what they described as a nightmare boss that treated anyone not in his innermost circle “like a disposable piece of garbage.”

In fairness, that kind of stuff wasn’t a problem for LBJ, either. Johnson reportedly accused his opponent of something nefarious. When an aide told him the charge wasn’t true, Johnson reportedly said, “I know it’s not true, I just want to hear the SOB deny it!”

One Thing.

According to one former DeSantis insider, "If Ron thinks the last couple months have been bumpy, he’s in for a painful ride."

tRUMP is also so insecure, he doesn't even (nor we) know if de-satan-is will run or not. I suspect that he will now, being that he's seems to be full of an oversized ego that is bigger than tRUMP's (hard to believe, eh?).

Let the idiots fight it out. If anything, it'll further implicate just how idiotic the two really are, and that a more reasonable (if there is such a thing now in the repub party now) candidate will pop up.

Seeing how the republican party is destroying itself from the inside though, has been the best thing. As democrats, I'd prefer to just let them fight it out, don't get involved in their stupid or horrible arguments / spats (which most of them are, such as 'green M&Ms', denying rights to 'trans'-persons, banning books or libraries, etc.).

It's so easy to trigger these people at least I hope some smarter people in the democratic party are watching closely and try to continue to get republicans triggered over other things, keep them distracted why we take the cake and run away w/ it in 2024. But, at least also go for continued Senate control and grab the House too. Pick up roughly 10 seats or more if we can. More if possible.

This way, if it doesn't work he'll have someone to blame and throw insults at.

Eventually, he does that to everyone he hires.

He'd way rather run again in Florida be the one in charge of a large State, than a wallowing yesman to Trump at the federal level.

On second thought, the only reason DeSantis may want that job is for the national spotlight and for Americans to get comfortable with him. And he'd be seen as harmless under Trumps thumb. The public would forget about his extremism in Florida.

Nothing is too craven. But I cannot see Trump ever giving that job to an opponent of his. I can see him dangling the job and yanking it away but admit that an opponent of his has any redeeming qualities at all - no.

Especially if it gets any nastier between them.

But then again, I 'm always amazed how much of a, cucks is not the right word, but wimps, wankers, wusses, they are willing to be. Ted Cruz after his wife was attacked by Trump. Pence after literally being threatened with murder. Even Trump himself, swallowing or ignoring what he knew Tucker said and sitting down with him again. Or vica versa Tucker being able to sit down with a straight face and interview Trump after what he said about him.

Graham flip flopped on Trump multiple times. They are so void of ethics or morality that they are willing to be humiliated, and then worship the same attacker the next day, if it means they are closer to the power structure.

I’m thinking about what Trump did to Romney. Dangling a job, holding what amounted to a job interview in restaurant so Romney would be seen groveling, and then giving the job to someone else.

That’s Trump.
