What I mean is abortion, guns, LGBTQ+, books, and all the other crap on their agenda.
Instead of being a true believer, they see it as a way to appeal to their base, thereby keeping themselves in power.
If some twittertwat catapults the notion there needs to be a ban on cotton candy, they'd stage sugar and food color burnings.

The con artist is worse because they believe in nothing and as a result can morph at will.

(2,187 posts)10 years ago most GOP pols would throw the culture warriors a bone or two so they could focus on cutting taxes and regulations and destroying middle income families.
Now I think that many of them care mostly about the cultural warfare.
