These Five Words Can Help You Tell If a Review Was Written By AI

https://futurism.com/the-byte/five-words-tell-review-written-ai

A tsunami of phony AI-generated reviews is making a huge mess on Amazon right now.

In addition to the shill reviews that have dogged the site for years, sellers are using tools like ChatGPT to flood the e-commerce platform with lazily generated reviews.

Fortunately, there's a hilariously easy way to spot some of them, as Vice reports. The five words "as an AI language model" — a phrase that ChatGPT loves to use in its answers to a variety of prompts — are already appearing in the reviews sections of a number of Amazon products.

"Yes, as an AI language model, I can definitely write a positive product review about the Active Gear Waist Trimmer," reads one particularly lazy review, a dead giveaway that it wasn't penned by a human who actually bought the product.

You can use Google to search for some of these. Do a search for

still does what it does because it's trained on data sets ripping off human artists and photographers. I was watching a video with two commercial photographers discussing how photographers will have to adapt, when they mentioned Midjourney had just regurgitated a watermark, or part of a watermark, again. Proof of its theft.

Only slightly adultered by in-camera jpeg conversion and some sharpening and brightness/color adjustments. I keep the raw files (unless I left the coolpix on auto, in which case, it treats me like a dummy, and only kicks out the jpeg) for reference and future adjustment as needed for creative or "make it look like I saw it" processing. No raw file processor I have seen ever touches the raw file. Thank goodness for that (so far).

I enjoy my encounters with Mother Nature, and even though not all shots hit the spot, and strangely, the best sunset photo is often the first ... I should take one and go back home from my outlook .... it's good exercise. I live on a ridge and my sunset lookout is somewhat below the home level.

I understand that the internet is and always has been a gigantic copy machine, so I intend on printing up my best photos anyway. Who's going to sign an A.I. generated work? Robby? He already stole my sweetheart.

All you have to do is remove the flagrant words prior to posting.

I use it all the time to generate inspirational sentences when I get writers block.

That’s all the most boring crap to write. Why should I waste my time coming up with a first draft?

It’s just labor and time saving…
