From TIME D.C. Brief
Reluctantly, Feinstein asked to be temporarily removed from the Judiciary Committee so another Democrat could serve and push through nominees; Republicans on Monday blocked that effort, and may pull the same move if Feinstein resigns and Democrats try again to fill her seat on the committee. (After all, there is precedent for denying lawmakers requests to change committees, dating back to 1891.)

(5,104 posts)The attacks on Feinstein here on DU are misguided on many (many) levels, but aboung the most egregiously wrong headed thinking is believing that Feinstein could resign and a Democrat could/would take her place on the Judiciary Committee.
It is vital to the Democratic Party and President Biden's hope to get more judges approved that Dianne Feinstein return to the Senate.
I hope that happens very soon. Feinstein is one of the all-time great Democratic Senators and she deserves far better than the disrespect she's been subject to here on DU.
Sabotaging her sabotages the Democratic Party's aspirations to get more judges on the Federal bench.
