I'm not voting for him, but I just like to listen to smart people talk. And he talks. I get the concern about a 3rd party candidate siphoning off votes, but it's hard to stop.

…about (not) getting a special invite to the Inaugural from the man they started attacking during his campaign for President. They never once tried to understand who he really was. For such intelligent men, that was not just arrogant but stupid.

I remember reading that Michelle Obama would tell her husband’s friends: “If you don’t get Hawai’i, you won’t get Barack.” And as someone who lived there 20 years, I know she is right.

I often think he is too smart by half and misses the damage that he does with what he says. Politics, like it or not, is very much incremental these days. Unfortunately it needs to be sold to the public and making the voters you intend to woo feel as though they are stupid is a terrible strategy. It is the biggest reason why Biden was able to defeat Trump. He refused to act like a know it all intellectual and instead broke things down into digestible bits that people were able to understand.

I do understand damage that a 3rd party could cause, drawing votes away from Biden or a loose cannon impacting true undecided voters.

Well I dreamed there was an island
That rose up from the sea
And everybody on the island
Was somebody from TV
And there was a beautiful view
But nobody could see
Cause everybody on the island
Was saying: Look at me! Look at me!
Look at me! Look at me!

I am SO fed up with third party BS presidential campaign political posturing. If you really want to effect change you should be and should have been running people at the local and state level. That's what Republicans have done for decades. I'm so f**king tired of progressives not understanding this. Not to mention the arrogance of "how hard can it be to be president." Governing requires acquired skills just like anything else.
