And anyone who actually cared about the candidates knew that before the election. Unfortunately, I suspect that conservatives reflexively voted the entire Republican ticket when they voted for Youngkin as Governor, assuming that the other candidates were as ‘normal’ as Youngkin. They’re not.

Virginia could still smell the teargas, smoke and blood of Jan 6 waifting across the Potomac when we went to the polls and installed straight-up fascist fuckwads to the 3 highest statewide offices.

In fact, if you want to know where the national GQP "woke" shit targeting schools and libraries, and the hatred and dehumanization of LGBTQ Americans came from, you need look no further than the elections of Youngkin, Earl-Sears and Jason Miyares.

Retrumplicans learned that treason, fascism and violent insurrection doesn't fucking matter if you give people something to hate.

That message was sent by Virginians.
