I don't know how I'm going to get through this. He makes me sick. I turned on the television and there are a series of Trump clips on MSNBC. Check in to DU and its all Trump.
This is hell.

Sorry, that is the state my poor mind is in at this point.
I fear we have years to go. People like him tend to remain alive and obnoxious for freaking ever.

(71,173 posts)Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening
Whose woods these are I think I know.
His house is in the village though;
He will not see me stopping here
To watch his woods fill up with snow.
My little horse must think it queer
To stop without a farmhouse near
Between the woods and frozen lake
The darkest evening of the year.
He gives his harness bells a shake
To ask if there is some mistake.
The only other sound's the sweep
Of easy wind and downy flake.
The woods are lovely, dark and deep,
But I have promises to keep,
And miles to go before I sleep,
And miles to go before I sleep.[1]

(5,639 posts)I knew he was the frontrunner in June 2015. I warned everyone. I was met with laughter or silence mostly straight through the election. I knew how stupid fox viewers are, I grew up with them and as I dress w collared shirts and keep my hair on the short side, I'm easily mistaken for a 'conservative', so I know how those w unconscious inferiority complexes act when they think everyone is like them.

(14,391 posts)... and go away. But the only time "Trump" and "honorable" appear together in a sentence is like, "Trump has never done the honorable thing, ever."

PatSeg
(52,275 posts)but I think we all knew he would never just "go away". We'd already seen what kind of person he was. The more he is defeated, the louder and more obnoxious he becomes. I guess in Trump's mind, only "losers" pack it up and move on with a bit of dignity.
Need to take a break. I'm sick to death of this traitor. I'm sick to death of his stupid followers.

(115,145 posts)Why do they continue to talk about him?
I think it is because they feel threatened. They feel that their country is threatened.
They feel it in their bones.
When something is inflicting pain upon your body, it is difficult to think of anything else.

(4,605 posts)I will have a laptop with me of course. I wonder how much time I will find myself on DU to check out the newest thought provoking chaos. I hope I can minimize it but he is the worst case of morbid curiosity I have ever had. This would be hilarious if it were not so fucking serious. The ocean has a way of calming my mind. Fingers crossed and one in the air.

(688 posts)And the cameras were set to watching the blank stage, waiting for him to up there and speak. I am so sick of them giving him free airtime. They should send the reporters to watch it, film it, and then just tell us the worst of what he said, after the fact. NO live airtime.
Instead, we get Time wasted filming an empty stage and entire shows with reporters hanging on every word/action of a traitor to our country.
Yet they rarely talk about or show Biden going about his day-to-day work of helping keep our country safe and functioning as normal as possible in these trying times.
Sigh. Changed the channel.

(688 posts)I wouldnt even know about the large Pride event today, about the signing of rule changes for military spouses, or the supreme court ruling on union strikers, etc. I dont do social media and for most of my life have always relied on my local and national news stations for basic news. I envy the cameraderie of the star MSNBC hosts at the table Friday afternoon. Nicolle Wallace, Rachel, Joy Reid, Ari Melber, Lawrence O'Donnell, and Alex Wagner. They appeared to be having a lot of fun, and had great chemistry.
IcyPeas
(24,911 posts)He takes up like 50 minutes of every news hour on every channel every day for the past 6 years. Every show has their panels of experts opining and speculating ad nauseum.
And the experts and political analysts on these panels get paid, so they have no incentive to want the trump circus to end. ... and it helps them sell books. Everyone is making $$$$. And all their facts and insights don't cause change. Just makes me madder.
He is the news and every for-profit news channel wants a piece of that $$$ pie.
Even the late night comedians spend too much time on trump (of course with the writers strike these shows are all reruns).
