...did Federalist Society member Cannon (* since 2005) get marching orders from her clan to expedite the demise of the Criminal Defendant?
It's been all hands on deck with establishment republicans this week, lining up one after the other to profess their new-profound displeasure with the lunatic they unleashed on America, and into their primary.

Ensuring a landslide victory for President Biden and some pretty long coattails.

(749 posts)Except through his attorneys, and I'm sure he'd be in protective custody in jail because he's so high profile. It would be such sweet poetic justice for him to end his days as a sad man having to use the bathroom in front of his cellmate, and being surrounded by snitches.

(25,910 posts)The game rule - try to seem reasonable far enough into the trial that it creates a significant delay for DOJ when she rules against them on client/attorney privilege - which she is sure to do. Since she can't stand to rule against tfg - she passes those decisions to the Magistrate judge - a regular person. When it comes to what evidence is allowed, that's when she will lower the boom and disallow all attorney provided information - which is a lot of the case. She will probably also disallow the tapes, she will find some totally bogus excuse to shield her fave oligarch. Or she will do fuckery with the evidence, count on it! Smith will then have to open a grand jury (???) in NJ and try that angle, along with an appeal to remove her from the case. In either instance, tfg wins if the delay is long enough. Damn Garland for his foot dragging!!!!!

(45,993 posts)Which requires the trial to commence within 70 days of the arraignment. However, the initial trial date is subject to change if continuances are granted as they most certainly will be in this case, particularly in light of the complexities of complying with the Confidential Information Procedures Act.
