I still dont understand how he got far MORE votes in 20 than 16.

Joe got a shit load more votes too (than Hillary got), getting 7 million more than Trump. If you make voting easy, more people vote. But over the last couple years, red states have cut back on mail-in voting after covid emergency measures were dropped. Republicans fear anything that makes voting easy, since when everyone votes, Republicans lose.

Not at all. The only objection, allowing more people to vote only aids democrats. Giving people a day off is socialism, says people who have slaved away for 20, 30, 40 years to enjoy a lower middle class existence while spending their evenings screaming at the TV and drinking cheap beer, while trying to figure out a way to pay for a new trump flag in their yard since the old one is faded and ugly. Kinda like the GOP of today.

I'm not opposed to making it a holiday, but that alone, without mail-in ballots, will effectively disenfranchise these people, who are often underpaid and could really use a voice.

I was responding to the question about what more could we do, besides mail-in ballots, which we had in 2020, and yet 1/3 of eligible voters still didn't vote.

But first and foremost, we need universal mail-in ballots. It's ridiculous we don't have it already. Mail-in ballots are quite secure, and provide a paper trail for ballot audits/recounts (much to the detriment of Republicans). And contrary to Republican bloviating, they do not increase voter fraud.

I'm sorry but every state has weeks of early voting, there's NO excuse for anyone to not vote. We dont need another holiday. If they're not voting now a day off isnt going to change anything.

A lot of countries hold their elections on weekends for this reason.

Not every state has "weeks" of early in person voting. Some only have 9-10 days, and, like in Texas, it is only done during business hours M-F, when people have to be at work. https://www.ncsl.org/elections-and-campaigns/early-in-person-voting

One thing is clear NATO has been completely redefined. Ukraine is winning because of NATO unity. Ukraine is not even in NATO. NATO has not put a single boot on the ground in Ukraine. Just imagine what would happen if someone attacked a NATO country. Turns out peace insurance is inexpensive. NATO = Peace
