How to isolate Ron Paul as a racist kook

If the Democratic party co-opted the few positions Paul espouses or even appears to espouse that are coincidentally synchronous with, or even appear to be synchronous with a progressive agenda (the few positions that are supposedly attracting all of this real or imagined Paul support on the left) then Ron Paul would be left with no distinctive political identity except being an unreconstructed Confederate fanatic.

Seems simple enough.

1. That would be a good plan

but his ideas are too far out there for anyone to embrace, even in a gambit to isolate him. Besides, most people voting Republican will just do whatever the party says. So if they take up a few of his positions, the people will just fall in line and these ridiculous ideas will propagate. Like a zombie plague.

Bringing all the troops home now, and using the Golden Rule to conduct foreign policy. I'm glad his clock stopped on that hour.

3. I'm not a big fan of shoot to kill first and then worry about guilt later

Kind of hard to retroactively apply justice to the dead. Collateral damage is a safe word for killing women and children and saying "whoops. we're sorry"
