John Eastman's expert witness in disbarment hearing is barred for not being an expert

A judge in California barred an expert witness from testifying in the disbarment trial of John Eastman, the former attorney for former president Donald Trump, since the witness was not an expert, The Daily Beast reported.

Mr Eastman is facing a potential disbarment for his involvement in a plot to overturn the 2020 presidential election results. He attempted to call a man named Joseph Fried, an accountant who wrote an eBook that questioned the legitimacy of the 2020 presidential election results, as a witness.

“I don’t see how Mr Fried is qualified to be an expert,” NPR reporter Tom Dreisbach reported her saying. “He has no experience in voting or election matters.”

In addition, California bar attorney Duncan Carling said “We don’t believe the opinion of a CPA ... is relevant” and that Mr Fried “never identified any instances of fraud.”

felt that since the accountant had taken math classes in college he was qualified because in Eastman's mind elections are just about "counting" and since the total numbers are so big that higher level college math classes fit right in. So his argument to the judge probably went something like: "Judge it is perfectly logical. The higher vote totals require a higher expertise in counting. I believe that higher math classes are about counting higher. It makes perfect sense to me Judge and you should agree with my flawless reasoning."

In November and Dec. 2020 and Trump had "real attorneys" from Porter Wright for their challenge to
the election's outcome and they all quit because they were being asked to suborn perjury from "witnesses
and experts" about the vote and and how the vote was counted. A friend of mine who is a lawyer told me
that those attorneys liked having their law licenses.
