SCOTUS has a regressive view of the nation and their majority rulings are moving us back in time.

This does not bode well for a rapidly diverse nation struggling with income inequality and climate change. Any progressive initiatives on a national healthcare program, climate change regulations, freedom from religion, race and gender discrimination, etc. will be shot down by this court.

This is not good for this nation. This will not end well.

where I’d say the blue states and Biden administration should just ignore this Court’s rulings. They have no enforcement arm. Of course it would create a constitutional crisis.

Stealing a page from the Roman Empire, when it split into the Eastern Roman Empire and Western one.

The blue states coupled with Canada would become a world power.

Looming problem as well is within a few years we up north are going to have to decide what to do with all the MAGAt climate refugees.

There’s no mechanism for states to secede unless you’re prepared for bloodshed. But what could happen is that Blue States and Biden ignore Court rulings. I’m almost to the point where I think they should do that.

Therefore, via the 10th Amendment, it is a power specifically reserved by states until a SCROTUS case says otherwise.

I highly doubt there would be in our case as well. A secession referendum would go to the SCOTUS before it came to unrest.

In any case, we are heading back to the confederation we were from 1789-1861. It’s just a fact that the states are becoming increasingly disparate.

I keep saying this. We need to understand that Conservatism is the DIRECT descendant of the belief system that supported Absolute Monarchy and Aristocracy. They HAD to do away with kings and queens because hereditary monarchs were having their heads chopped off.

They moved to Capitalism and the "Marketplace" to determine who should rule and who was worthy. As they were already wealthy, it didn't bother them losing the hereditary aspect as long as the structure remained the same and they were still on top. Capitalism was even better because it gives the illusion of social mobility AND the illusion of meritocracy.

"Anyone can become wealthy" even though all the research shows otherwise. "If you are rich, it is because you deserve it" again, even though all the research shows otherwise.

Capitalism is MUCH easier to spin and sell than "God gave me devine right to rule..."

Conservatives have pretty much the same worldview as the monarchs and aristocracy of old, with some tweeks.

Regression equals death. For example, we need aggressive, progressive regulations on fossil fuels in order to slow down global warming. Already, we're seeing that some states are will be inhospitable to humans because of the heat.

But this court stands ready, willing, and able to strike down anything that the government passes if it conflicts with how they see America circa 1817.

This cannot stand. This will lead to massive deaths.
