Despite newly revealed cybersecurity flaws in Georgia's statewide touchscreen voting systems; a weeks-long breach by right-wing operatives of the sensitive voting and tabulation software used across the state; and a growing clamor by both the public and state officials for decisive action to try to plug some of these vulnerabilities before next year's Presidential election, all evidence obtained by The BRAD BLOG to date suggests Georgia's Secretary of State has little interest in taking any action at all. At least not before next year's critical contests in the battleground state.

Even if Republican Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger did want to take action, we have learned, he has yet to even begin necessary steps toward state certification of Dominion Voting System's newly created software said to remedy some of the recently disclosed cybersecurity flaws. Moreover, well-informed critics argue any software upgrades to the state's touchscreen Ballot Marking Devices (BMDs) would still result in violations of fundamental legal requirements for the state's voting systems.

The path toward nailing down what Raffensperger's office is or isn't doing; what they may or may not do under state law; and what they are or aren't telling the public about all of it has been an odyssey over the past days, amid misleading discussion with a representative of the Secretary's office, contrary information from an official at one of the country's few certified independent voting system test labs, and a curious admission by a representative for Dominion, the state's election system vendor.

Sounds like Georgia can’t do the required state testing in time so they must use hand marked paper ballots that could be scanned ( and hand counted for auditing)

Scanners with audits are certainly better than the system the sos wants to use which, as brad’s article details, have been compromised

Any system that requires privately owned software is a bad deal as private citizens cannot oversee it, and this system has been stolen, copied and distributed to god knows who so definitely not secure

3. Considering the various voter repression laws the Republicans passed after 2020, can anyone

trust that 2024 will be a fair election? Democrats need to be registering new voters now and making those registrations get processed. As I recall, the current governor sat on thousands of registrations and did not get them processed in time for the election when he was Secretary of State. Plus, they need to make sure elections officials in Fulton County have everything well organized. I think the new laws gave the legislature the right to take over the voting and counting in that county.

Same in Texas. The legislature will take over the counting in Harris County. I foresee many mail ballots being discarded for nebulous reasons or many voters’ registrations somehow questionable, forcing them to cast provisional ballots that will never be counted. I can’t recall now if this was in the final legislation, but the legislature also plan to require people to vote only in their precincts on election day instead of anywhere in the county. This requirement has not been well publicized and could prevent many people from voting on election day, especially since the state has closed many precincts in minority districts to make their voting lines longer.

That if there are ANY voting problems, or counting problems in Texas or Georgia or Florida, or anywhere in the ENTIRE United States of America in the election in 2024.............

That our United States Supreme Court, (especially THIS USSC), will jump right in and ILLEGALLY INTERFERE in a way that will favor the Republican Candidates, no differently than they did in 2000, by stopping the Re-count!!!!!! They just hopped right down there, despite having no legal standing what-so-ever to do so. Several Universities studied the situation and said that if the re-count had continued as mandated by Florida STATE LAW, that Gore would have won, no question. The Dems should have challenged that decision from that moment forwards, and Gore should not have conceded.........

Soooooo, NOW we have a legal PRECEDENT for the USSC to interfere in any state election's result the Republicans feel they are going to lose.........

Hell, just look at all the Republican State's protests, the Jan6th seditious insurrection and continued belief, (despite the proof of over Fifty different legal court challenges), trying to corruptly install Trump as President in 2020. INCLUDING, making up fake state electorates to over ride the established system of voting in many states of the Union. I am positive if Pence had allowed the fake electorates to be considered and counted, the USSC would have probably found a way to certify those "completely corrupted" and fake electoral votes.............

These "new" Republicans, that in No Way resemble the Republican Party of the past, came within a MILLIMETER of destroying our election process, by hook or crook, and corruptly installing Trump in office for a second term. And also destroying the U.S. Economy, The U.S. Constitution, and our Democracy...... They have made a point of limiting voting, gerry mandering, restricting ability to vote in many states that they have the power of a Republican Legistlature to do so. They will not make the same mistakes in 2024 that they made last time in 2020. The Dems need to have been getting better organized since Jan 20th, 2020. They have corruptly altered the out comes of Presidential Elections in 1980, 2000, and 2004, AND in 2016 with the Help of an Enemy Country, and gotten away with it. They
almost pulled it off yet again in 2020.
With out some major landslide voter turnout effort, like in Obama's elections, and even some good luck, the United States of America, will once and for all time become:...........

AND, don't forget that hey have corruptly installed three new FAR RIGHT USSC justices, and this current Supreme Court has made it more than obvious what they will do with their overwhelming Republican dominant power being much greater than utilized in the 2000 election......AND they now have *Citizens United* as a Grand Slam, to allow an overwhelming and unlimited amount of money to legally be donated by the Uber Wealthy Oligarchs, Corporations, and even Foreign Countries to aid the Republican Party..........
