Sex offender Larry Nassar repeatedly stabbed in prison fight

Nassar, serving up to 175 years for molesting gymnasts, was attacked by another inmate on Sunday.

He is reportedly in hospital in a stable condition and is said to have suffered a collapsed lung.

The 59-year-old was jailed for sexually assaulting athletes, and possession of child pornography. Hundreds of accusers have come forward.

Nassar admitted to sexually assaulting athletes while he worked with the USA Gymnastics programme and Michigan State University, where he ran a clinic.

More than 330 women and girls at USA Gymnastics and Michigan State University have accused Nassar of sexual abuse.

He’s never going to leave prison alive regardless. He’s already getting what he deserves.

in those hot-boxes sans air conditioning, that they call prisons.

But, I agree. Prisons have a responsibility to protect their prisoners--even the most despicable. And they certainly have a responsibility to not inflict the kind of cruel conditions that would be considered torture--anywhere.

even ASPCA --remarking beyond their normal focus--on the cruelty?

The deaths of these serial killers under prison protection is unacceptable, but it pales in comparison to all those Texas inmates--many who may not even be guilty (although that should not matter) and whose deaths are either not reported or attributed to anything but the actual cause--heat-related tortuous neglect.

Inmates are among our most vulnerable citizens and have to be protected since they are in state/county/federal custody.
