They're still hoping they can salvage something here...I keep hearing "Petraeus has a lot to offer thie country" despite the fact he put himself in a very vulnerable position...in one of the most sensitive jobs in the world.

I'm not sure I wish anyone's love life splattered across the evening news, yet while the story isn't really interesting or relevant like a car crash I can't look away. Perhaps it has something to do with all those years of the military brass explaining the fear of gays in the military and bringing down their high moral standards.
