Where is the "woke" that Republican candidates want to wage a war on?

Another ridiculous medical bill and nothing referring to anything "woke" on it.

Or at least I'm not seeing it.

That must be it, right?

Where is it?

I especially like the totally arbitrary "discount to patient" part. That always gives me a good laugh. (And by "good", I mean really disgusted sigh).

Hospitals inflate charges without any realistic hope of getting that paid (hence discount to patient) and this post identifying patient violates HIPAA.

(point taken that medical costs are out of control)

A patient is free to release their bill to the internet, and other users are free to share that.

2013 would be just about the time revenues to hospitals to combat high uncompensated care started really making a difference. They still inflate charges to make up for underpayments and unpaid services but the gap has come down since 2010.

Kentucky accepted medicaid expansion and also let hospitals apply for funds under HRSA. It quite literally saved a number of rural hospitals and some inner city too. There are similar results all over the country.

They want them thoroughly anesthetized.

And, at $31,049.61 per, that's a helluva fundraiser.
