when LBJ agreed to seat Fannie Lou Hamer's Freedom Democratic Party at the '64 Democratic Convention, which resulted in the Dixiecrats switching to the republican party and it's eventual, downward descent into maga madness.

Given the racism, anti-woman and anti-Semitic sentiments of the party, it was inevitable.
